Political Correctness vs. Christ Correctness!

My name is Eric. I serve at a A New Beginning Financial & Ministries and wanted to share some thoughts with you…

I was recently encouraged by someone not to speak of “politics” or “religion” in a public place. I was criticized for not being considerate of other people who may not readily welcome the conversation. What am I to think when another Christian asks me to keep my Christianity in a closet?

I believe far too many Christians are so restlessly concerned with being politically correct that they have, on occasion, forgotten to reflect on whether our actions are “Christ-Correct”.
"Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division…”- Jesus of Nazareth (Luke 12:51)

Without question, Jesus created more division than any other person who walked the planet. On one hand, you have a huge mass of people, billions, who worship Him as God in human flesh. On the other hand, you have countless crowds, and even nations, who reject and seek to rid the world of His very Name.
"For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." (Luke 12:52-53)

As he avowed, Jesus has certainly created vast divisions within households across the world. Jesus knew that his life, His claims, and His ministry would cause great separation in the families of his followers.

When you follow Jesus faithfully, it can create havoc in the home, in the workplace, or wherever exists an opposing viewpoint. Division amongst family, friends, and co-workers may be the price one has to pay for being a faithful steward

After being converted to Christianity, Paul:
“spoke boldly in the name of the Lord, and disputed against [the people]: but they went to slay him.” (Acts 9:29)

Paul didn’t silent his speech simply because it contradicts or disagreed with the perspectives of others. He spoke boldly! He mimicked our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who, obviously, was not the least bit concerned with being politically correct.

Will you please stand on a rooftop, without fear, and shout His Name, JESUS?
Please give me feedback. I want to know your thoughts on this…
